On the subject of Spike Camps -- which I used to do regularly [ before some health problems hindered my fav hunting camp style] Obviously a book can be written about this. I use to scout out good areas pre season, then just before the hunt pack[hike] in the camp which sometimes meant Water in the SW...

I too, like and use the Elk inc calls -I just cow call these days -- too much "bugle pollution" In a lot of the public lands. [ I would still bugle, depending on when & where - but not much anymore]

after using a lot of different quivers over the years, I have settled on and really like - Eagles Flight. There are other good ones, but this make is light & tight. I prefer Bow Quivers as I find them to have less movement to use { drawing an arrow }, compact , quiet, easier to move thru brushy ...

That is so true! and it seems to take me a lot longer to get ready too!
