 .... Don't have it done yet. I told my wife that I was behind. She must not have heard me correctly because she was quick to agree that I was "A" behind.

No turkey yet, season starts the 26th here. Best birthday gift a guy could ask for is opening day of turkey season!

Better get that bow done before Turkey time. Well he might understand that a feller needs to go hunting on his birthday!

Muahahahaha, I talked to Jose' yesterday to go over the build details. :D That's always fun as you're now REALLLLY excited about the bow-to-be and the details are hashed out.

This one's going to be special for sure. Not that any bow isn't. Even a lowly Samick Sage is special in it's own way. (But this longbow...hehehe.)

Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

It is the same model as my first one (see the beginning page(s) of this thread for deets) - just lighter draw weight and radically different woods. :)

But, just for the sake of excitement - the riser will be of Bocote, with Wenge accents. The limbs will be ActionBoo cores with Wenge veneers, accented with a Bocote strip going up center from riser to tip. Limb tips will be Bocote with red phenolic.

Sounds like a nice combo of woods, looking forward to seeing it also as I'm sure you are.

Indeed!

The only thing I have to decide on is the finish. My first Flatline has the "stock" finish, Krystal. He also offers Thunderbird (at increased cost, of course), and I'm considering maybe doing that. Decisions!

Toelke uses Thunderbird, and my Whip has a tremendous finish, I absolutely love the thunderbird
