I did....but I was disappointed. Barbie wasn't as hot as I'd always imagined...
DAVE!!!!! I SEE A BOW COMING OUT!!!
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

Today I worked mostly on the top Limb working it down to my line and then started on the bottom limb which is going to take a lot longer and be more intensive with the rasp due to the knots. Actually was able to get a small bend out of the upper limb very exciting

I'm beginning to see a bow in there!
Aim small, miss small!

Yes, it is starting to take shape.
That bottom limb does look like it is going to be a chore.

Rainy day here. Sent some packages this morning and was feeling mighty productive. Stained some new wood arrows and picked up my stave after almost a month of nothing. Got some serious work done on the lower limb, cut the fades in, and did the initial shaping of the handle. Just the littlest bend in first attempt at floor tillering and started shaving more off the belly. Cleaned up the sides of the upper limb and tip section. Now on to the beginning stages of floor tillering. No more lines left on the belly, it’s all feel from here on out. Once I start getting good bends, I’ll figure out how I want to deal with the propeller twist and decide if I want to use the raw hide backing.
