I can't pass up an osage build. Looks like Mike sent you a nice stave. Enjoy!

Suppose your developing a new trad Bowhunters beverage? Lol! "Aged in Osage barrels..."
Hey....dont hit that stuff too hard while carving that bow. You don't wanna mess up!

Work is getting in the way... Hopefully tomorrow afternoon before work, I'll get a couple hours in and get the rest of one side chased. Stave is looking good though and I am taking my time. I hope my woodworking skills are up to the task and I got to say this is one of the most fun things I have done. If you are going to do doing this though, here are the two things I would recommend. One, read a book completely before doing anything (I'd suggest hunting the Osage Bow, youtube clay hayes also)... Two, invest in a quality stave. So far the one I got from Pine Hollow seems to be very nice... If this works I will have completed two of my three-lifetime traditional archery goals in one year, one was to get a world-class bow from a Master Bowyer (Thanks Jose) and two is to make my own self-bow.
