Jose', Elkman builds a really nice bow. He built the Elk Seeker that Larry gifted me.

Didn't get very far today.

I got all excess epoxy off and then got the edges as straight as I could. Then I mark a line close to center, parallel to the straightest edge.

Once I have my line I use it to line up the limb shape template. I measure out the bow length from center and mark each end were they get cut.

Here is a better pic of the riser so far. Glue lines and fadeouts look good.

Now is when things start to slow down a little bit.

Okay, it looks like it is time to do some cutting. I have a different bandsaw setup for this step. I saw this thing sitting behind this guys shop down the road aways from us. I actually had my eyes on it for three years. Finally got up the nerve to stop and ask him about it. He said he just didn't like it. I asked if he was thinking of selling it. He said no, but if you give me $5 you can have it. It doesn't look good, but it does this job just fine.
He had it put together wrong. Fixed that. I put a Lennox Tri-Master on it and off we went.

Anyway back to the build.
After cutting it to length and shape it goes back to the drum sander to take the riser section down to my desired width.

After the drum sander, back to the edge sander, where I take it down to my line from the template tracing.

Now I can either prep it for tip overlays or go ahead and put some string nocks in and check tiller, weight and alignment.
