Dymalux is the same thing as the old Dymondwood. It's White Birch lams that are dyed, impregnated with a resin and pressed into panels. It's made by Cousineau Wood Products. Very vancy plywood.

Each panel in the size I use is $276
Before shipping. It is heavy, strong and can be quit colorful. You've probably seen some of those fancy gun stocks made from it or the old Dymondwood.

So my next step.
Since I cut the Cocobolo piece, I have to re-sand the edge. Then I get the accent strips sanded.

Now that I have all my riser parts, I lay it out how I want it and mark my center point that the template will line up on. This center line will be kept track of through out the entire build.

Now I mix up the epoxy.

This bow is not spoken for. I started it for this post and will sell it if someone wants it.

I have my paperwork with the stack and core goals figured out and I have yet to sand all the laminations to their exact thickness.
The taper has not been sanded down yet either.
I am/was shooting for 45# to 50# @ 28".

The epoxy, as you can see, is EA-40 from Smooth-On.
Mixed it up and spread on all the parts that need it of course. It is clamped up keeping everything lined up as best I can.

For some reason I pre-heated my large main heat box. I have 2 smaller ones I could have used. :|
After clamping I will heat it to about 155° to 190° for an hour or so. The big box takes it up to the 190°.

Now that the riser is cooking I can get started milling out my laminations. I will be using actionboo for all core lams. There will be 1 tapered lam and 2 parellel. I was planning on using .040 black glass for both back and belly.

I start out by taking a large vertical edge grain carmelized board of bamboo. Rip it to 1 1/2+ inches wide in case I need to straighten it some. Then cut it to my desired length.

Now I have my Bamboo cut to length and I need to turn it on edge and resaw it into rough cut lams.
