Elk Seeker longbow build

#1 Post by Elkman »

I'm going to give this forum bow build thing a try.

Starting another Elk Seeker Bow.
So let's get a riser ready. I going to make it a 2 tone handle using Charcoal Dymalux and Cocobolo Dymalux.

This afternoon I started by cutting off a couple rips of the Dymalux. One of each color.

Tomorrow I will cut and layout the different sections of the riser and get it glued up.

Now I need to clean these parts up a bit and sand them to thickness.

Do you think the riser could use a little more flair?
How about some accents?

Looking good.

Definitely some accents. Are you planning on doing finger grooves like on mine? I wasn't sure if I would like them but they feel fantastic and fit my hand perfectly. I wish this weather would break so I could shoot it!
