My Grandfather who was a volunteer in a NYC Regiment that went with Theodore Roosevelt to Cuba during the short Spanish American War would get his cast iron skillet out each morning and cook his Buckwheat pancakes. Then I remember him wiping them out with newspaper and putting them away. They were silky smooth on the inside and they had a set of them. Years later, with all the innovations in cookware, I remember Mom's cast aluminum Guardian pans which I hated cleaning with all the little indentations in the surface which just hung on to all the cooked in food that had to pass inspection later on.

All those wonderful pans that served the family through the 20th Century were never preserved or valued and are now long gone. What a shame. One of the ladies from church gave me a large Lodge skillet that we use often but it is so much heavier than the ones I remember from long ago.
Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.
