Got the cap piece stained.
I like how it came out, I hope it will look good with the yote hide.

Looking great so far graps! That extra piece at the top will also help hold the mouth of the quiver open, I like it.

Wow; that’s sharp Graps! If the Yote don’t like it too bad for him.

Sorry this is taking so long, but you know how it is when other things get in the way.
I'm going to try and get back at it today.

Now using a hand drill with the needle from my stitching awl, I drill holes at about 45° all the way around the bottom through the heavy bottom plug of leather.

Then I stitched with a rolling stitch using the full thickness of artificial sinew.

Fantastic! It might be the first backquiver out of coyote but it's nothing more then the average day to a tool and die maker! Skills man...skills!
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

I figured that I need a strip of 7oz leather to cover the seam and something to stitch the shoulder strap to.

Got the top and bottom straps cut, stitching holes punched and transferred to the spacer piece.
I'm not going to install the adjustment holes until this project is complete. That way I can put it on and deside how long it needs to be and cut and punch holes only one time.
These pieces are going to get the tan antique stain as well.
