Amen to that!
Especially when a feller lays out a grand for a custom bow, perhaps not thinking ahead and asking themselves "Will I be able to shoot this comfortably in 5 years?"

Well Kirk, it seems we think a lot alike! I can shoot this new 40lb bow for long periods, and it doesn't bother me a bit. Even 45lb will get me if I shoot a heap several days in a row.
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

And there ya go. Now you understand why I bought a Tamerlane (one of the most accurate bows Bear ever produced back in the day) in a 35# draw weight...I can literally shoot this thing until the cows come home with no ill effect...and bust nocks while doing it.
