Any new bows for this coming season?
Let us see what you plan to hunt with this fall. Let us know if it will be your first season using it. Love looking at new bows!

I would like to try out that K-Mag this year.
Aim small, miss small!

Hey all, long time no post. Been crazy busy.
Anyways, I've got a new set of static tip #3 recurve limbs for my Bear A riser being made up by Kirk @ Bigfoot bows. Getting pretty pumped about that

Since I'm getting a couple of flintlocks made this year I probably won't commission a new bow until 2018. Wild Horsecreek Bows has a new style longbow out that I really need to add to my arsenal.

I've showed it before but I will show it again!
this little beauty here is my new go to bow this year and hopefully for many years to come, pulls back nice and smooth and has one of the nicest shaped grips I have ever felt.

Love them Toelke bows! That Pika is a fantastic hunting length. If I'd have known they shoot and feel virtually identical to the longer Whip, id have gotten one of them instead. Its not that my 60" whip is hard to maneuver at all, as that is what I've shot the most....its just a 56"er would have been even nicer in a tree or on brush ground. Fellas that own both say there is so little difference in the two bows shootablity and feel, its negligible. Oh well, live and learn. The is no way I'm going to willingly make that trade though, I love my Whip too much. But in hind sight....im just sayin...

I'm going to be using (for the first time) my Toelke Whip, 40lb @ 28" for deer season. I've matched it with a rather "cheap" carbon arrow, the Beman ICS Bowhunter in 500 spine, full length 31". I'm using either 370gr or 340gr head end, (whichever flys the best) accomplished by 100/50 gr brass inserts, 75/100 gr steel broadhead inserts, and glue on 190 gr Cutthroat broadhead/field tips. Arrows weight approx 630/605 gr. The heavier arrow has right at 30% foc and unknown yet for lighter arrow. I do know the 630gr set up flys phenomenally well, and plenty accurate out passed my comfort zone on deer at 20 yards.
Pics to follow later....Fathers day today and I'm being rushed around...lol.
