Congrats Rick! That's quite a prize and a great way to break in a new blade.

I shot a 5 point this afternoon. It was a windy day in northern ny so I decided it would be a good day to check out a area that I haven’t hunted in a few years using the wind to cover my noise. I like to wear my asat 3D leafy suit when hunting from the ground as I have taken a few deer using it in the past. The plan was to keep the wind in my face and check the area out and place a trail camera and come back in about a week to check it.
While looking around I caught a glimpse of a deer coming my way. I was caught out in the middle of some hardwoods without a lot of cover. The buck came by me at about twenty yards and when he went behind a tree I started to draw. He must have caught my movement and looked straight at me but couldn’t figure out what I was and never got nervous. When he turned his head to leave I zipped a arrow through his lungs. Needless to say he didn’t go far. The set up I am using right now is a Rick Welch recurve, 45#@28” goldtip Arrows with Simmons broadheads.

Graps is going to post pic for me

Thanks, Rick
