Got in my treestand as it was breaking daylight, got everything settled in, but thick fog was making it challenging to see clearly, even after daybreak. But as I first began to look around I saw movement, sure enough it was a deer, but behind too much brush to know what it was for sure. I didn’t have an opportunity to stand and prepare for a shot, or to turn my camera on, it began walking right toward my stand. When it stepped into an opening I could see it was a doe, she turned away and began walking uphill, and then made the mistake of stopping within 15 yards. The arrow with the lighted Nock flew where I was looking and she fell in sight. The next hour was filled with more doe walking all around me wondering what happened. Took some short videos of them passing by under me. I was watching one and noticed her head fly up, then her ears zoned in, I knew she was seeing something. I looked behind me in the direction she was looking and there was ole Wiley Coyote trotting by. I turned the camera on and whirled around making a shot at it at about 25 yards. Only made the Yote kick it in passing gear as my arrow struck a rock short of the mark.
