Keep making plans to hunt, keep having to do other things, but that’s life! Yesterday evening it was a gospel singing and my grandson was doing some of the singing. So told my buddy we would try today, that didn’t work. Got a call from a family who had a member killed in a car wreck, so funeral home tonight, Funeral tomorrow, and Church next two nights! Hopefully I can get out Friday, Season is on here!

Went to my hunting spot to make a scrap and hang a dripper. Saw this little guy on the trail, sunning, left him alone.

Re: What did you do today?
Sat in my pop up blind this morning. no deer but finally had one dove and a squirrel come in. Then had two big gobblers come in and feed around me in the grass for over 45 minutes. I made sure that they were no longer legal to shoot in the fall but they sure looked good. I then lighten my heavier Osage bow down to a better weight for me. it is now about 43# and easier on my shoulder. I still plan to deepen the shelf a little bit more but will do that later. going to another big city tomorrow for dental.

This is gonna be an off-year for me due to medical reasons. I did not sign up for the lottery so gonna sit it out. I'll hunt vicariously through you all!

Got a quote for taking down and cleaning up mess and remove it all. One pine tree about 80 to 100 ft. tall, and bigger around than I can reach, $780.00
