Re: Where's my saw?
Well I had some time to work on the knives and........
I'm cutting the slot for the blade tang in the antler and guess what?!
This antler is still green. Must have been from a deer this past fall.
CRAP!!
I'm going to look online and see if I can bake them in an oven or something to dry them out.
If not, I guess I'll finish them up next summer.

Re: Where's my saw?
Found a guy that uses green antlers and hits them with a propain torch until the color changes.
Claims to work just fine.
So I'm going to bake them for a while and wee shall see.

Good luck. Let us know how it works out.
Re: Where's my saw?
Baked them for 3 hours and it worked.
The inside color changed darker but the outside stayed the same. They do feel lighter.

I like that “lefty” you got there. Could make it a dual wield set.

Got the guards and blades epoxied in.
The next step is shaping the handle and guard and blend into the blade.
