Frankenbows
In my opinion Frankenbows are a lot of fun and usually easy to make, and can be really great shooters. I’ve done quite a few with my trusty Dremmel. I know the Bear Black Bear Riser is the most popular and with good reason. But there are a couple that I like that shouldn’t be overlooked. One of them is the older High Country risers. Now..they’re heavy but to me ...they’re supper stable. I’ve got a 19” and a 25”. Anybody else shoot ‘em?
Thanks,
Chuck

No...those are all Frankenbows or Swarfs as some call them. Sage and Journey Limbs. The white one is my go to bow.Bear Riser and 40#Journey Limbs . They’re pretty easy to do and shoot great.

Re: Frankenbows
Sage risers have a removable limb pad . I traded a pocket knife for a set because I wanted to modify a Pearson Equalizer with Sage limbs. The width of the Pearson and the width of the Sage pocket is almost identical so it was easy to square up. I had a machinist friend of mine drill and tap the holes, came out good. The Equalizer is a favorite riser of mine.
