How do you carry a spare bow string while hunting?

Come on in and sit a spell. There's a seat for you around the campfire.

Sometimes I will take one arrow out of my quiver, neck it and mark it with a sharpie at a reference point on the bow. Usually back of rest material so I have a reference point for brace height.
Smart!

I'm still thinking of making a leather case with snaps just because it would look neat.

Most of my hunting is close around home, so I actually do not carry an extra but I should. If I were going on an extended hunt away from home I'd probably take 2 extras and put them in the pack.
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.
