OK, I think some of you have the point I was getting at.
Archery is too easy to get into your head and when that happens, you will over think what you are doing.
As far as the " proper form goes " having all your arms and elbows with your shoulder in line is the way they teach compound shooters with release aids.
That's the reason that I was smacking my bow arm. Howard Hill was over six feet tall and had a draw length of just 28".
By todays standard and the way some of the new people are being taught he should have been at least a 32" draw length.
Proper form is what works for you, I shoot much more accurate using the Hill style because for me it is much less wobbly and less shaky.
I can also shoot at more " not perfect " conditions like uneven ground or a wobbly canoe.
I heard somewhere that if you believe an arrow is correct for you, you are more likely to get it to tune in better.
And contrary if you don't think it's the correct arrow.
Now please don't take this thread as me being critical, I am just trying to get someone to step back and think about it.
And as I always say " Let that 12 year old kid make the shot."

hmmm point taken. Archery is about what works.
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

Consistency is the key to accuracy with anything that shoots a projectile. Having good technique helps, but confidence in your abilities and equipment are probably most important in Bowhunting.

My youngest at 2 years old. Proper form seems some what natural for a kid.

You would be amazed at how much kids pick up just by watching.
