Hey Jason, I was just curious, why do you prefer the quiver without the stabilizer or rather what do you not like about the stabilizer? Are both your efas the leather slotted model? How do they compare to a foam quiver hood?
Re: Back, Bow, or No Quiver
No I haven't, but deer tend to leave a better blood trail and tracks.
Bear are very hard to track, those wide padded feet don't dig into the ground very much.

Clay.... I actually have 2 efa... one leather slotted Long Mesa, and one foam hood he dont advertise much. Its longer then the rest to accept the longer heads like tuff heads.
I dont like the stabilizer because though it seems like nothing the added weight is noticeable. Maybe if I hadn't gone with one without it first I wouldn't be so Critical? The long foam 3 arrow hood with the kick back feature is so light. The mesa is of course heavier. I also dont like the connecting stabilizer is too close to the back of my thumb on my bow hand....but that's with the mesa which is very low profile and flat to the bow. My foam hood doesnt have it. What I've done is disconnect the lower from the mesa set up with kick back, and use it with my standard long foam hood which has been my favorite.

The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.
Re: Back, Bow, or No Quiver
I have always used a bow quiver.
I am hoping to use one of my longbows this season. So I am not sure what I'll be using with it. I have an old side mount one piece that I may just strap to my pack somehow until I can get a Selway slide on for a longbow.
