When hunting, I'm comfortable under 20 yards.

i am shooting a 40# longbow 10 to 15 yards is the max.i use a heavy arrow with bear razorheads.16 feet max in tree stand.

Sounds familiar around here Joe, I also shoot a 40# longbow, and my current arrows are 600gr.

I’m a better shot than I was last year. 20 is still my answer.

Since I've taken a shine to my short bow (K-Mag, 52 AMO) and had to shorten my shooting range distance up to 15 yards, I've found that 15 yards to be very comfortable and confidence building. I believe I will change my previous 20 yard answer to 15 yards. Oh, and welcome to you, Joe Harrod!

I’m right there with the bunch at 20 yards. I prefer 15 yards for deer and turkey, closer to 10 on squirrels and rabbits.
