Just wanted to stop in and say thanks for allowing me to join this site. Name is Chris. I Live in south central KY. Carpdaddy mentioned this site to me. I’m a member on another forum with him. Looks like a lot of good people and knowledge on here so I thought I’d join up. I’m still relatively a newbie. I currently shoot a Browning Wasp. I’ve killed a ton of fish with it. And made the switch to deer hunting with it going on 4 years now. I’m very interested in building me a bow or two so hopefully y’all can help me along with it.

First off, Great NAME and I can't believe nobody has that one yet. What type of bows are you interested in building?? Welcome to the fireside, you are in the right place.

Same name I go by on another forum. I was surprised I got it here as well. I’m planning on cutting some staves this winter and trying a selfbow. But after following carp on some of his builds. I may try one of them as well.

Thanks for joining Chris, I’m the only bad mark against you right now so you should be okay. The fellow I gave you a link to about bow materials just joined l here last week also, he is a very helpful guy, and will answer your Building questions better than I can. But I will assist you however I can if you want to start a bow. Be warned, it’s very addictive!!
