Another great adventure in bow hunting

#1 Post by Carpdaddy »

Mark and I got out early this morning before the heat hit in pursuit of Squirrels, Stumps, or other slimy creatures! Never saw the first Squirrel but those logs and stumps were out stirring big time! My first shot and kill of the day was a mushroom, got a total pass through and it fell over before Mark could get a shot. Later we crested this point and spotted a nice sized log rotting in the bottom below.

Mark made a perfect hit but my arrow passed just over its back, you can barely see it in the picture.

A short time later I spotted this green creature out in front of us. First shot was bad left so I quickly got off a second shot followed by Marks with the red fletching.

Mark spotted this little fellow and gave me first shot, then followed it with his passing just over it, stepped it off after at 21 yards.

I didn't even see this one until after Mark shot, I just shot at his arrow, heard contact too!

:geek: Had a good time out walking and slinging arrows with Mark this morning, I needed some mountain time!

Nothing quite as fun and relaxing as a round of stumping!

A lot of fun! We were also looking at some future treestand setups. Going to start moving a few soon.
