Coons can be tough

#1 Post by jaydee2trad »

Occasionally, I would shoot a coon with an arrow that didn't pass all the way thru. Not good for the arrow because a coon can flat mess one up quick. Actually a coon is a bad little dude period and can put the hurt on a dog. I began using a field point with a decent sized washer behind it. when it hits the chest area, hits with authority and knocks them down hard. plus cheaper than broadheads and getting arrows stuck in trees up high. The last one I got was in the bird feeder, he never knew what hit him and he was a big boar coon. yeah, knocked him clean out instantly. He shouldn't have growled at me.
