2017 Buck Mount
I just finished the taxidermy on the buck from this fall in Indiana. It always takes a lot of time but it is so much cheaper than paying to have it done.....
Re: 2017 Buck Mount
Jose you have some serious talents! Anything else we should know about?? Nicely done!
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.
Re: 2017 Buck Mount
I like the ear set on him. Did u do a little sanding prep work to get that much definition in the neck? I like it compared to mine. Looks great! Here's mine in same pose from a few years ago. Along with an antelope. Adjusting picture size makes him look funny. Needs dusted.

Re: 2017 Buck Mount
Thanks Dave! No extra talents, have trouble counting to three....haha. Yes James, I did just a little more sanding but not much. This buck had a stubby Roman nose so with his neck measurements he had quite the swell on the form.
Re: 2017 Buck Mount
Nice. He looks great. Most important thing is to recreate the image you have of him. Looks like you did that. Great job
Re: 2017 Buck Mount
Wow, great job guys! Folks that don’t know you are going to think you fellers know stuff! I’m impressed.
Re: 2017 Buck Mount
Wow, very nice job Jose.
These all look good.
You guys could send those mounts to me and I could trim and even out those racks for you.

I'm guessing each point would end up with metal sticking out of it!.....graps wrote:Wow, very nice job Jose.

I don't know about that Jose, but I would send them back with the head smoothed out so you can see those prity ears better.
