Re: Curious to hear opinions

You asked for opinions so... I shoot the old fashion Zwickey Eskimo so-called 4 blade which is really a 2 blade with a couple small bleeder blades bent up. It will slip between any ribs and I have killed caribou, bear, and moose. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Re: Say goodbye to GoPro for hunting & hello to its replacem

I just had a friend of mine show me a camera similar to this one. It has the LCD screen on the back but I am not sure about the other features. I was going to get more info from him but the big thing is that he told me he really liked it and it only cost...$59

Re: A serious question....

I don't have much trouble shooting different poundage bows. My mind seems to make the transition after a couple shots. What DOES mess me up is shooting heavier arrows than I am used to. I made up 20 arrows the other day and they were not the usual tapered shafts like I am used to but straight Port O...

Re: Anybody else here read "Traditional Bowhunter" magazine?

If you read Traditional Bowhunter Magazine you can also go to the website ( tradbow.com) and read a story written by Gary Olsen ( my hunting partner) called "Angus and the Bushwacker". Gary and I were the ones that just went hunting with Larry in Oregon for elk. Gary has written many artic...

Re: Goin elk hunting

We hunted very hard. This 68 year old climbed the hills or went down in the canyons every day along with Larry and Gary ( sounds like 2 guys with their own talk show) The elk just weren't vocalizing. We only heard a couple bugles the entire hunt and our calls went unanswered. We put on lots of miles...

Re: Shooting glove recommendations

I'm not sure if this fits the subject perfectly but I ALWAYS shoot with a brown jersey glove on.. both target practicing and hunting. I can feel the string real good, it offers enough protection that I can shoot 30-50 arrows with no problem, and it feels exactly the same when hunting. If it gets too...

Re: We raised some money for the Wounded Warriors today

This is difficult to say. I am a vet and I served in the Navy ( Viet Nam era) but Wounded Warriors only gives 58% of all donations to the wounded warriors. My moth-in-law donated to them and they sent her an item that was made in China, so that was then end of her donations. I don't donate to any ch...
