Have an Osage tree without leaves this season. It was dropping seeds in the fall. Pretty decent size tree. Is it dead?

Plus one on the old carpet trick. There are a few on Youtube. Most take an old box fill with old carpeting and ratchet strap it all down. Looks quite effective. The box is oK until you start shooting broadheads then it gets ripped up pretty fast.

I have one of those block targets too. I use old pie tins with a nail centered on the target. Sometimes we shoot after dusk and it is hard to tell if you hit the block. The pie tin makes a nice noise to let you know your in an 8 inch circle. Nocturnals help too.
