Re: Recurve build
Got some shaping done on the bow. Still got work to do to finish it, but it's getting close. Strings tracking dead center on the limbs now. Braced @ 7.5" in the pic. Originally wanted a 56" copy of the Kmag, ended up @ 52". Tiller came out dead even. Went ahead and shot it yesterday a...

Re: Look what happened to my K-mag!

Re: Recurve build
Well, looks like it's a big fat goose egg. Looks like the fade out busted and slipped under the glass when it was under pressure I guess. Not going to be shot like that. Guess I've got a nice looking paperweight. Dang it!

Recurve build
Hey everyone, been awhile since I've posted. Life's been pretty busy lately. Kids, work, etc, etc. Anyways, been working on a recurve for my son, my first. The inspiration was a mix between a Kodiak magnum and a Kodiak Hunter, only in a 56" variation. The form took quite awhile to get dialed in...

Re: Fun with broadheads
Cool stuff. Wonder how a regular 2 blade COC head would stack up? Funny though, how these new style BHs rely on soo much force to even penetrate the hide. Like Clay said, wonder why more compound shooters don't shoot old school COC heads? My guess is they've got soo much speed, it'd be almost imposs...

Re: Kmag
I draw 29.5" as well, Kirk. I haven't felt any pinch myself. I love this thing, may have to pick up another one for backup.
