Scout, I'm a hardcore MOAB fan. There is no downside to them unless you're hunting out of a blind. That's the reason I bought the Thunderchild. The T-Child isn't hardly as fast as the MOAB, but it is smooth, quiet, and shock-free. Mine hits where I'm looking. It is Bacote with Hawaiian Koa veneers. ...

I would look at a 30" AD Trads with 100 gr inserts and 200 gr. heads. That's what I shot in my 54" #60 @ 28" Bob Lee Recurve. I draw 27".

Scout, I shoot a few different longbows. The ones I spend the most of my time with are a couple of 60" MOABs (#53 and #54 @ 28"), a 56" Big Jim Thunderchild (#53 @ 27"), and a 62" Toelke Whip (#50 @ 28") I started bowhunting in 1981. Started fooling around with trad arc...
