Welcome KY!
I see you shoot a Bamabow Hunter. I have two myself. One is 47# and the other is 55#. Nate makes one heck of a nice stickbow and is a gentleman to work with.
Best of luck to you this season and stay safe!

Re: What # to use long bow
Here we have a 40# or greater restriction on bows unless some pencil pusher changed things since last I looked. I am shooting 47# right now with the longbow and 50# with the recurve.

Good luck to you as well!
Re: pratice
Oh no...I should clarify...though the chance of seeing deer in this area is pretty good my success rate is not.
This one I took last year. It's actually a buck that had its horns knocked off at some point prior to the archery season.

New to the site...Hello!
My name is Mark and I am currently living in Central MA. I'm married with two grown boys and three amazing grandchildren. Though I have been hunting my entire adult life it wasn't until 5 years ago that I took up the traditional bow. What was I waiting for? Traditional archery has given me a whole n...
Re: pratice
Shoot as often as possible. Prepping clothes and gear. I don't visit my hunting area to much, after the stands go up, as I've been hunting there for almost 30 years and know it like my living room.
Good Luck to all!
