6 broadheads and a grass hopper or small game tip for Grouse.

I have a great northern strap on quiver and a safari tuff side quiver. The safari tuff gets the most use. I usually have 4 broadheads and 2 stump shooting/small game arrows.

Hey Dave do you carry that quiver on your back or your side? I like it. It looks like it would be a fun project to make one.

Jason how do you like the mesa quiver? seems like a good design since you dont have to mess around with the foam insert.

I carry it over my shoulder...but it can slip under my right arm level with ground to return arrows to quiver without fear of missing a lakota style and stabbing myself in the calf... or I can put it in that position to go thru thick stuff without it catching behind me....

Not a great pic, but one of me with it and a pack and a foam seat on a late season hunt years ago...

I love it cause I can slowly raise my right hand, reach back above the BH 'cup' and grasp a shaft and lift, let it slide down my hand, grasp and withdraw with minimal movement...

In hindsight, I believe that one in pic was the original larger one that would hold a bunch of arrows for 3D and such...

I then built a much smaller one that only holds 4 arrows, 3 BH and a hex.

I've hung the small one on a treestand on my back, and could still reach back and extract an arrow.

I shoot them long lean 2 blades exclusively.....Tuffheads, grizzly, (eventually Kodiaks) and the such like. This quiver obviously only accepts 2 blade. Especially the Tuffheads are really long, and the Tall Mesa takes them nicely. The quiver is slightly heavier (im mean slightly) then the hooded Cheif, but there are a couple things I like about it over the hoods. As you mentioned, no foam...ever. The thing also sits so narrow and close to the bow, it is extremely handy for maneuverability, packing, storage, and just overall dealings. Its dead quiet in every sense of the phrase. Finally, I think it is quite a looker and really gives a nice tone matching that of the longbow.
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

I use a great shoulder Quiver , At times & a Hip Quiver that I built out of a KWIKEE 3 Arrow Quiver, Attached to my Belt, With the Broad Heads in it, Works for me, As I do not like any Quivers, That attach to the Bow Limbs, At all

Another option is quiver mount on treestand.
