Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

From what I remember, Ashby says using a 2" fletch (A&A) combined with a "turbulator" and good tuning with a front loaded arrow works good. I never went that far as I haven't needed to, I'm getting all the FOC I'll ever need. I tried the 3" and they shot but I felt that with my set up they were a bit more unstable and I could start to detect that, so back to 4" I went. Back then it could have well been my release the problem though.
The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

4" shield for me, 3 fletch. I've tried the 2" Ashby cut style, 4 fletch, they work fine with a well tuned arrow, with a big 2 blade BH, for me. Nothing wrong with the 2"ers, i just like a little more fudge factor for my crappy release.
