Which carbon arrow
Getting ready to purchase some carbon arrows.
Been looking at the Beman CenterShot, Easton Axis, Victory Trad's, Big Jim's Dark Timber.
Any thoughts on the above?
From a price perspective, the Beman CenterShots looks very appealing, heard some good things so far. Not much info on the Dark Timber.

Re: Which carbon arrow
Tim, only carbon I've owned and shot is the Beman Center Shot. (I build my own cedars). The CS is reasonably priced, comes pre-fletched (4" feathers) and seems to hold up well in target shooting. Downside? It smells like...carbon.
Nothing smells quite like a dozen new cedar shafts.

Re: Which carbon arrow
I have been shooting tbr victory vforce arrows for a few years now. I really like em. Cheap, strong, and consistant.
I also have a dozen 600 spine centershots for lower pound bows. That smaller diameter can be a real help for getting a stiffer shaft to work out kf a low pound bow.
I havent tried the dark timbers yet but i like the price, they also have the benifit of the wood grain wrap which should make them a little stronger.
If money is no optional thr Heritage shafts are supposed to be bullet proof.

Re: Which carbon arrow
Well, just got Victory Carbon Trad's, came full length (31.25), went with SS insert (80 grains) and 125 grain SS bullet point tips.
Used blue hot melt glue for just two arrows, will see how they shoot/tune and go from there. Insert goes in the shaft about 1.5 inches I think, extends out .5 inches from end of arrow, the arrow goes into the tip overlay, so should be very durable. Once tuned to bow will fletch with 5 inch left helical (yellow with black barbs).

Re: Which carbon arrow
I stay with what is on clearance sale at the time, the last three times I purchased a dozen I got them for $40.00 per dozen, I don’t shoot well enough to tell a difference.

Re: Which carbon arrow
So, at factory stock full length (31.25) with insert and tip, seems a little week. This was from about 8-10 yards. Leave as is or cut down maybe half inch . Or fletch one and see how bare and fletched group?
