Re: Full lenght feathers
I mean the full length feather 10 or 12" long that you cut to length and burn off to your desired shape(shield cut or parabolic etc.)I used to buy them like that for many years. I also save all my wild turkey wing feathers and put them on my arrows.I used to get the dyed long feathers from Trueflight or Gateway.
Re: Full lenght feathers
I have got a few Turkey hunting friends that I get to save me their wings, keeps me stocked up, you may have a few of those also if you ask around.

Yes, I do that too.I would just like to find a a place where I can still get some of the plain colored ones.I might check again with Gateway or Trueflight and see if they are still in business. It seems like us old guys have a hard time finding the good stuff like we used to.Thanks

have you checked with 3Rivers? They used to carry them.

Re: Full lenght feathers
this is the time of year to go to parks and lake dams, pick up full length Canadian goose feathers. IMO, better than turkey and don't get matted down in the rain.
Re: Full lenght feathers
Just made some of both, trying out on cane arrows, two Goose, one Turkey for cock feather.

Those look sharp, nothing wrong with those. I bet they can be hard to find in some of the stuff. That's where my metal detector comes into value LOL. the goose feathers seem to have some awesome qualities. and I like the cock feather being turkey. Let us know how they shoot.
