my river cane arrows with broadheads

#1 Post by jaydee2trad »

This was my first attempt with the river cane for arrows. only had one problem with an arrow so far, the nock came off one. I did find that these shot a little higher which is no problem. I will hunt with these a few times but no farther than 15 yards. that is the actual dirt bags for a back stop, the wife really likes it LOL. these arrows may not be as pretty as some guys get them but you gotta start somewhere. Nothing wrong with those! Cane..."nature's carbon"! And looks like someone got themselves a head mount over their fireplace!

Very nice, still haven't had time to work on mine. Likely will be after season in prep for next year.

Don't know what happened to the head, no head mounts in the house. just European style. only had one buck ever shoulder mounted and I was embarrassed to show it, looked more like an antelope with buck antlers LOL. I finally just took the antlers off and threw the rest away. No the arrows shoot fine, even with the nodes still slightly there and with just two feathers.

Look good to me! Even if you did run out of feathers and only have two per arrow.
