I built some in August for this season. Used Surewood Shafts this year to get my weight down some. I normally use a hardwood like maple or mahogany. 3 - 5" shield cut feathers and tipped with 190 grain Meathead broadheads. Finished arrow weight is around 640 grains.

Love those arrows Darren. A good friend sent me some river cane. I am getting ready to make a few cane arrows.

Beautiful, Darren! I'm missing the scent of fresh cedar. Don't really need any new arrows but in the mood anyway.

Kirk, I know what you mean. I certainly don't need any new ones but I keep on making them anyway. Same way with buying bows. I'm a sucker for pretty wood combinations!
