Quivers for hunting, non-bow-mounted?
I may as well ask those with experience - what are good quivers to look at for hunting? I prefer something not mounted to the bow (I like less mass weight).
If said quiver were available via Amazon that would be even better. (Reason being, the credit card my wife and I use for everything, that we keep paid off, still accrues points, which in turn can be converted into many things, one of those being Amazon gift cards. It's a great racket...)

My quiver is bow mounted, so that won't help, Jon

I dunno if Capt. Kirk says it, it must be a good idea.

Bear paw Indian summer. Best 30 bucks I ever spent but not sure if it is on amazon. Got mine from kustom king archery
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

I use a bow quiver some, when using my climber I have a quiver mounted to it, and then one I made from pvc pipe, a strap, and camo tape! But I'm a fancy feller.

Im a bow mounted quiver as well. Eagles Flight Archery has some 3 arrow quivers that are like 8 oz. and work really well for me.

What kinda quiver you thinking of? back quiver? hill style? side quiver?
Old Dave posted a cool looking quiver on here a while ago I thought looked like a really good design. looked like it would be easy to make too. maybe he will show up and chime in
I have a hill style back quiver made by a dude called soapcreek. about 70 bucks, I like it, but the back quiver isnt good for thick country IMO. I always have to fight with it when im running though thick branches, even if I tuck it under my arm. I mostly use it for small game hunting.

I fought back and hip quivers too darn long. As Clay says, thick brushy woods are a pain to deal with them, and its super thick around here. I know some guys master manuvering with them, but all I could ever do was get red faced angry.
Im also one who likes a light bow. I try to go with a super light bow, and super light quiver on the bow, to still have a very light and good feeling set up.
