Re: Box on my porch!
Don't know how much I will like it until it is finished up.
I was just sharing the actual AMO draw weight measured by their standards. Many measure draw weight from back of bow to 28". Since risers vary so widely in thickness from front to back they decided to call all risers 1 3/4". So to be 43# @ 28" I check scale at 26 1/4" from deepest part of grip.
Hope I'm not corn-fusing folks in this.

The element of surprise can never be replaced by persistence.

Man you whipped that bad boy out fast. If it shoots as good as it looks it must be a real winner. Interesting about how they measure draw weight
Re: Box on my porch!
I'll give it a permanent test drive. Pm for addresss. Lol
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.
Re: Box on my porch!
Thanks fellers, but it has obligations to some trees! This morning I took it out in the bright sunlight and man does it need more sanding!

Re: Box on my porch!
But as I was warming up my wife came up with a honeydew job that keep me busy for a while. Then this evening I started on it but got distracted. First I stuck some Velcro on for rest and sideplate. Then I tied a nock point. At this time I was forced to fling a few arrows. Guess I could have done some sanding this evening but I felt compelled to introduce the unfinished bow to a deer. Unfortunately the deer didn't play fair!
