It may be pushing it to get it done for the first. I think I should have it done it time to hunt with it before gun season starts. I’m going to invest in a belt/disc sander because hand sanding the handle to fit the riser is going extremely slow.

I traced the riser shape onto the handle overlay with a pencil and have been working at it.

If you have a Woodcraft store nearby try a simple rasp and file, it will make short work of it. It’s like several hacksaw blades side by side. Just be sure to work glass to wood, never wood to glass, it can grap and destroy!

Might want to get you a farriers rasp. I have one and love it.
