So I got my new string in from Dave the other day. Went to put it on and found this. Think it’s fixable? I can get some of the loctite 420.

The Locktite 420 has convinced me. First clamp it down below where the delam is, about where your fingers are, so it doesn’t continue up the limb. Then stick tape on side or sides so the extremely thin glue doesn’t run everywhere, also in front and back glass, then have everything ready to clamp before gluing. I would use thin wood or something under clamps so as not to damage glass. Then let glue run down into crack, this happens fast and without squeezing on this thin stuff! Remove everything after a little dry time then wait 24 hours for complete curing. Should do the job, I don’t think there is a lot of pressure there to pull apart. In fact I think the string will put pressure to hold together. That’d my 2 cents.

Ok. Thanks. I’m working on finding some 420 at the moment.

I know you’re in Ky Nock, don’t know how far from Corbin, but if close enough bring it and I’ll do it for you.

I appreciate offer. I’m about 3hrs west of you. Just past Bowling Green. I’ll give it a try. Shouldn’t be bad. I got plenty of help here.

Does the string groove look like maybe a fast flight string has been digging in? I've never seen the damage it does to a string groove, only heard about it. I do know that stuff as a fishing line, will cut a groove in old spinning reels with metal bails.

Man, that's a tough one. The core and belly glass look to be compromised. You can try what Tony suggests, what do you have to loose?
One more thing I would do is upgrade the tip overlays. Make them thicker and maybe even a little longer. Someone may even suggest a long overlay on the belly side to help stiffen up the tips.
The bow is a recurve, right? Another thing that you could do is cut an inch off each tip, but that will effect your draw weight and possibly your smooth draw. If it was a longbow, most likely just your draw weight.
I wonder what Kenny would say?
Anyway good luck with the fix. I hope it works out.

Glass is splitting on belly side. I’ll have some here tomorrow. Like you said nothing to loose. I plan on building a bow (one of Kenny’s). Just rather not do it at the moment.
