Put the first coat of tru oil on, one small spot it appears I didn't get all of the finish off. It covered fine. I also tried rubbing a spot off with my finger and couldn't tell any color change. I plan 4-5 coats. Maybe 1 extra on the grip portion.

It's already hinging in the closet by a string where its dark. Difficult to take pictures in there. I'll post one in a couple days when I get all the tru oil on.

I think I was trying to think of Teak oil for very hard woods. I thought it was some stain, but now I remember :roll: it was the oil. Oh well, it gets funner and funner.

Time for 2nd coat. And what did I learn on this project? Riser color is the only thing that matters for appearance of a bow unless you have clear glass on your limbs. Riser color makes a huge difference.
