Dreaming

#1 Post by Carpdaddy »

As I have already shared I have been a little out of commission lately on the bow building due to some health issues. But I am improving and dreaming about a new project. To add to my addiction some generous un-named person on here has gone above and beyond again. I received a private message a while back from Resin Risers informing me that someone had purchased a gift certificate for me to have one of their risers paid for by the un-named gifter! Since that time and while improving health wise I have been like a kid in a toy shop, looking and drooling over some of their beautiful work. I couldn’t decide, but finally knew if I was going to go forward I needed to choose something. I got inspired when I saw a bow someone had built using what they call True Camo. Here is the picture...

This was a struggle because they have so many beautiful things to choose from. Well yesterday I got a text and some pictures of what is headed my way, I’m drooling already!
Sure don’t want to lay this thing down in the woods.

When you add the gift of love to someones art and talent, combined with form and function that gives pleasure in this life to those who serve the Lord, you have a blessing that shoots arrows as we relax and enjoy the life He has given us.
Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

 Oh wow, you are right.
You don't want to lay that on the ground, you would have a hard time finding it.
That is so neat. :D

I know what you mean Tony. I have been checking those out myself. It's quite the process with lots of options. The concept has been around for many years. Just not as a bow riser. My mom used to cast resin in flat molds of fish and other things years ago. She would add glitter and other small things similar to how those risers are being casted.
About 6 years ago I had someone ask if I could make, what she called, a river table. She sent a pic she found online. I told her I never had made anything like that before. I checked into it and saw that it didn't look hard at all, but never went any further. That process was also very similar.

Tony, I am excited to see the bow you make with that riser. It's going to be awesome, I'm sure. There is definitely a very generous person on this site. As an admin here I want to thank this person ;) for being such a valued member of Tradhunter.
