Very little free time tonight and a lot that needs done, got to finish up the slow process of sanding and removing scratches, mainly at butt ends. For fancy folk with high tech tools this probably don’t take long.

It a feller can only take so much, there comes a time that he breaks, it’s time I string this baby up and fling an arrow! Ready or not this thing needs shot... But since it’s after 10:00 at night I guess I’ll have to wait, did fling a couple in garage, but I got to get out and test drive this baby.

How'd she shoot?
Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

Wow, not even finished and that bow is already a looker.

Finally got it out for a test drive today, it shoots a lot better than I do, especially since I have nearly forgot how to draw a bow. I haven’t tested draw weight yet but it feels just right, I ask for 42-43# at my 27” draw. Shot two rounds of about six arrows, different weights and spines, seems to like weighted 500’s with 250 grain tips, or 600 spine with 175-200 up front. My arrows are 29” & 30”, the 600’s being 29”. Maybe ole Kenny can save me some time and tell me what brace these bows like? I found a 61” fast flight string among my stash, I think it’s one of Dave’s creations, working good.

My TD likes 7" but you will most likely have to fiddle with brace a bit to see where she is quietest. That is usually where they wanna be...

Thanks Kenny, I’m up to 7.5” now, but the 7” was the quietest, playing with spine and weight also. Best was a couple 500 spine, 50gr inside, and 200gr points. Last two with those arrows, I think Kenny set the sights a little to the right on purpose, I’ll fix it though.
