I know exactly what you found in the bolt hole!! Remember the shop washers of phenolic that I made so as not to scratch your brass bezels? They were thicker and some epoxy got on the end of the double thread inserts. With the thinner brass bezels you ran the bolt into the glue! Sorry, I never used the nice ones or I'd have fixed that for you...

Oh, and I have very nice legs! One has about 40" of scars on it but good conversation starter...

I take some care on the line up, if the center of the tips don't line up with center of riser, you have built in problems from the start...

Got to sand some more tonight, still have a long way to go in shaping, then to get all the file marks out. But curiosity got to me and I decided to use a little fine sandpaper to get a better view of what it will look like. Even used some steel wool on the shelf side, not as much on the other, but gives an idea...
