Re: Birth of a bow - Elysian
Ah, the joy of a new bow......somehow they always seem to shoot better than the old bows..
I suspect that is because we are more focused with a new one.
It's hard to beat a good shooting short bow if you ever get the urge to hunt on the ground from natural cover. Of coarse, like you, I've found the trees offer a higher level of success. I would think that with the shorter bow, you might not have to remove as much of the cover branches as you would with a longer bow in a tree stand. One of my best stands was in a fence line between two woodlots that separated a corn or soy bean field on one side from a field laying dormant in crp. I was only 10' up in a smaller tree that offered alot of cover from it's thicker growth of branches. The short bow would be great there.
You know, if you have some Velcro laying around, they make a decent rest also until your new one arrives.

Jesus replaces the old covenant and speaks to the believer the moral code of God by His Spirit directly to the heart. He is the eternal, everlasting revelation of God to mankind. In Him is both the knowledge of righteousness and the power to live right.

I'm sure you're going to love that bow.
I do mine.

Bow is pretty well tuned. Ended up with a 7 1/4 brace and 1/2 nock.

Sound like we're both setup and ready to go.
You will probably score before me because our season starts October 1st and I don't see deer here until the acorns are done. Usually about November 1st.

If it shoots as well as my Elk Seeker, I know just what you mean.

Amazing work. Nice choice of colors Dave. I love green glass. That will be my choice someday.
