How to ruin an ash stave

Had a warm day today so i started working on an ash stave i have. This will take awhile so stay tuned. I need to come up with a better way to hold the stave to make it easier on my old back

Put off work on the stave ran into some worm holes. Just started back on my red oak board.

don't know if worm holes are as bad as rot, you may be able to shoot some glue into them before you begin tillering
