The UBM Rendezvous in pictures

#1 Post by dhaverstick »

Boy howdy, did the United Bowhunters of Missouri have themselves a Rendezvous! The weather was great, the facilities were fantastic and the food was...dang, the food was off the charts! We had a huge turnout and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It always warms my heart to see families doing an activity together and this event was crawling with families. There is one family, in particular, that has to show up in order for us to have a proper Rendezvous. Kerwin Crawford and his wife have identical triplet girls and they have been coming to this thing since those girls were a year or two old. These young ladies are now 13 and still enjoy flinging arrows with their old man. It don't get much better than that!

Here are some snapshots of the event:

This young man's family came from north of Topeka, KS to join us and he was the winner of the youth shoot-off.

Great write-up (as usual) and thanks for sharing! Every time you post something like this it makes me realize what I just missed!

Looks like a lot of fun. Wish I could quit my job and buy a camper and just travel all summer to all the archery shoots.

Me too! That really looks like a blast! I love them crawdads too!

Having the crawdad boil is awesome but it's an iffy deal because our Rendezvous is right at the end of the crawdad harvesting season. We never know if we're actually going to get the mudbugs or not until about a week before. There is talk about having a shrimp boil next year instead. I think folks could handle that!

I could do shrimp if mudbugs weren't on the menu, but...if I had my d'ruthers...
