He is a lot faster than I am.
That's a lot of the same way I do it except I don't heat and beat.
It's probably a good blade.
Much more work than I care to do.

I had doubts about how good the metal was for a blade out of a bearing race?

I'm sure it would be a good steel for a knife blade. It would probably be a M2 steel and could easily temper to 60 Rockwell.
