Store bought knife build?

#1 Post by Graps »

I was wondering if there would be any interest in a build along using a purchased finished knife blade?
I got a medium sized chef's knife and I was thinking of doing a build along for making and installing a handle on it.
So what do you think?
It will be the same process for a hunting blade too.

Sure. I've had a nice Hoffritz 6" kitchen utility knife I removed the tore up scales from. I bought some wood that is probably only aged. I need 3 rivets and the desire to fit the scales to the built in bolster that angles away from the wood towards the blade just a little bit.

But, I've got to do brakes around on the car, maybe fix an oil leak, get a starter for the mower and then tackle the garden first. By then, maybe Charter Arms will have put a new barrel on my old Bulldog and I'll have to see how she shoots.

Sorry this hadn't happened yet but I have been under the weather.
Hopefully this next week.
