'Hawks!

#1 Post by Captainkirk »

One of the really cool things about archery is, you can shoot arrows in your back yard, in town or in city limits (unless the neighbors complain).
Same thing with 'hawks. I'm very seriously thinking about picking up a nice throwing 'hawk. Any recommendation from you 'hawk-chuckers out there?

Guessing nobody throws tomahawks here.
I haven't done it in probably 10-15 years, but it is fun!

Can't believe I missed this one. Check H&B Forge and 2 Hawks websites. I think you'll like them Captain. Don't throw em, but use them around camp or hunting.

Check this website out , he has the best design for a hawk IMHO .
It is made to keep the handle from coming loose and the blade will stick even at near perpendicular to the log end .

Man I love hawk throwing! I suck at it worse than trad shooting, but it's still fun. I been thinkin about buying my own set since the ones I throw are supplied by another hunter ed instructor.

I have one hanging in my garage. I had a longrifle built around 30-35 years ago and he also made me one of those with it. Never did get into throwing it. Still have the smokepole also.
