Need help with identification

#1 Post by Cookies »

I found this bow in my local Kijiji; the seller doesn't know much about it. He couldn't provide me with make, model, draw weight or age. What he did say was that as a 10 year old kid back on the farm he could shoot it many years ago. My 10 year old son can draw my 45# Grizzly no problem; but he only has to draw it like 18". I asked for more photos, but haven't heard back from him since Saturday. He's asking $80. Anyone know what this beast is? should I go for it? I think it might be a Bear: there seems to be a Bear coin in the one pic.

If it had a Bear coin it would be on the side not pictured.
That is most likely some sort of arrow rest.
Also grip does not fit the lines of a Bear.
Fasco ?
Without seeing any markings it is hard to tell...

My guess would be Ben Pearson right off the bat. I'd like to see some close-ups.

It almost looks like a high grip Bear Tarter .
But I'm sure it's worth at least $80.00 .
So you didn't go wrong .

Hmm. A tricky one...
I guess the only sensible way to solve this mystery is to buy it and post better pictures!

I haven't bought it yet, graps.gonna hold out u til after Christmas. If my stars line up, then I'll get it (need to buy new arrows, too).
But if it's a Tartar, I should maybe skip it. My wife is a dentists assistant...she destroys Tartar for a living!
